Visiting Alexander Grothendieck Mohammad Hadi Hedayatzadeh On February 18, 2011 I met Alexander Grothendieck at the gate of his house in Lasserre, France. The idea of meeting Grothendieck was on my mind ever since I learned about his beautiful Mathematics and his charismatic character as a student in Iran about 10 years before.
