What happened to Tomokazu Fukushima? : r/metalgearsolid

So, I've been wondering for a long time: whatever happened to one of the old main mans of the Metal Gear franchise? He is Tomokazu Fukushima, he wrote a lot of backbone for the games' backstory and codecs, while keeping stuff consistent. He was listed in the first trailer of MGS4, then vanished. I don't wanna ride on the "Fukushima did everything" train, but since he's left, the tone of the games changed a lot. As far as I know, he worked on the 2016 game The Tomorrow Children, but he's not really vocal about his works. Does anyone know anything?
