When I found Nicci's blog post of "eyelash curler roundup" on one random web-surfing day, a mega-bright light bulb came on. I have been using a Shiseido 213 (silver) eyelash curler since 1998, and have never been satisfied; the curvature was just not quite right. I also got the Kai plastic curler that received rave reviews and it didn't quite work, either. Finding the right one seemed next to impossible, though, because there was no standard way of measuring and comparing eyelash curlers. Moreover, although I found some Japanese eyelash curlers being advertised with radius numbers (in mm, e.g. 18R, 22R), I couldn't figure out what they actually meant. The packaging said that the smaller the radius, the deeper the curve. But how do I measure my own eye to find the right fit?
