Woody Brown is a non-speaking autistic born in 1997 American known for the 2026 novel Upward Bound. Brown received an MFA in creative writing from Columbia University in 2024 using facilitated communication via his mother, Mary Brown. This form of communication has been considered unreliable by the National Council on Severe Autism.
