This video is getting a surprising amount of views fourteen years later (its up about 230,000 in the last few days, go figure) so here are some notes on the video and a few things I’ve learned in the decade+ since 2012. 1. This was shot on a Canon Powershot camera. iPhones were very popular but, on launch, were only available through AT&T so, while widely used, they were not as ubiquitous as they are today. I’m glad I didn’t use an iPhone for this because most pictures and videos I took on my iPhone from that era have a sepia filter permanently attached. Such were the times. 2.
