I've always liked people who are way too candid and blunt when you first meet them. The kinds of people who somehow waltz into your life and say precisely what's on their mind without any mesh filter that strains their thoughts to be more palatable for consumption. Lots of my closest friends are people like this: so unabashed and direct that the first few times I spoke to them I was blindsided by the words pouring out of their mouths. You could shine a beam of light into these people, and it wouldn't refract or bounce at all.
