Hello friends— Pls, preorder The Late Americans or I will cry. Last week, I threw out 143 pages of my next novel Group Show because the pages had become a knot of shame and guilt. I found myself unable to re-enter the story. There was too much scar tissue. So after many months of trying and failing and staring blankly at my word doc, I just pitched the whole thing into the garbage and started over.
