Kun Woo Paik in person is very much like his playing – thoughtful, reflective and considered. Such wisdom is apparent on his latest CD, a beautifully recorded, sensitively played collection of piano pieces by Fauré recorded in July last year at the Brangwyn Hall in Swansea. Kun Woo Paik has come a long way since his early days in Seoul, North Korea. He was born in 1946 and made his debut at the age of ten playing Grieg’s concerto.
