Concurrent problem and how it correlates with the rest of the show? : r/PantheonShow

Does anyone smarter than me want to explain the concurrent problem in more detail, and why it's significant (both literally and thematically) to the rest of the show (and the UIs specifically)? It's not particularly complicated. Concurrent algorithm problems and their solutions sort of make up the basis of computers science in the modern age. Essentially, in any computer, you're going to have a number of tasks that need to be completed at any one time. You have a limited number of resources, and they can't all be pulled at the same time. Everyone must eat, but there is a limited number of chopsticks. It's essentially the question of what does your computer do when it's working on too much at one time. The solution that Caspian's father presents is hierarchical. Some tasks on your computer will just execute first, and then the unfinished tasks will have to wait till those are done.
