On the necessity of the Karen meme

Recently the Karen meme instantiated itself in my life in a very real way, taking the form of a car chase followed by a police report. See, I normally take the trash to the dump with my dog, Minerva, a German Shepherd. It’s one of our many rituals for her to sit in the passenger seat and stick her head out the window, and she loves it. The car is an old and stinky one, used pretty much solely for this purpose, and the dump is not far. This summer I made such a trip, stopping on my way back home at a small local market.
