When I was a consultant, my friends and family would ask me the same two questions: “What do you actually do” and “Do you like it?”. The first question was surprisingly hard to answer. The contrived marketing response was that we “helped the world’s most important institutions solve their hardest problems”, which of course only exacerbated confusion.
