Am I Crazy to Leave a Stable UX Job to Travel the World? : r/UXDesign

(25M - 2.5 years experience in UI/UX) I see a lot of posts here about struggles in UX, but I really love working in the field and want to continue doing so. That said, I have this overwhelming desire to travel the world. Last year, I was lucky enough to take 6 weeks off to explore Europe, and it ignited a passion for experiencing other cultures and meeting people worldwide. Since then, I’ve felt like I’m wasting time and will regret not following this dream. The problem is, my current job doesn’t allow much flexibility. It’s a small, in-office company (15 people + a call center), and remote work is practical

I paired working remotely for 2 months with several weeks of vacation and it was great. I stayed in just a couple places while I worked and the time difference (East Coast US works hours while in EU) meant I had a long morning to sightsee and even feel a bit like a local.
