He is tall, about six foot two, but looks tiny beneath the only other thing standing in the vast empty space, a giant apartment building, which is going for about $35 million. Mehta is here to purchase it at auction. He is living in Hong Kong, in the heady expat district of Lan Kwai Fong, but he’s been dispatched here to Guangzhou by a subsidiary of D.E.
