what sort of fear program circumvents our suspension of disbelief so much we start thinking cutting baby dicks is a good thing or at worst neutral?
it’s a bit like most of the world has been installing fear programs deep inside the abyss of my nervous system since the moment i was born. cut from my mother’s womb after a prolonged labor in an anxiety inducing hospital room. put in the intensive care unit for a week (just in case). put on antibiotics (microbiome nuked). bottle fed (nuked again). circumcised. i asked my dad about this the other day. he’s a doctor. my mom is a doctor. they didn’t do it for religious reasons. they know the medical reasons don’t hold much water. when i asked my dad he said “we didn’t give it a second thought.…
