I am a PhD student at the Department of Mathematics in the Weizmann Institute of Science, studying under Alex Lubotzky and Uri Bader. I am also a Clore Scholar. In Fall 2026, I will start as a Simons Juniour Fellow based at Columbia University, under the mentorship of Henry Yuen. Email:
Alon Dogon Research Interests: Broadly speaking, my main interest is Group Theory and its interactions with Operator Algebras and Dynamics. I am also increasingly interested in applications of the above to Quantum Information Theory and Theoretical Computer Science. My research topics includes: Approximate representations of groups (Stability) and approximation properties of groups (Sofic, Hyperlinear, MF). Character theory and unitary representation theory.
