3 Fundamental MPC Protocols In this chapter we survey several important MPC approaches, covering the main protocols and presenting the intuition behind each approach. All of the approaches discussed can be viewed as a form of computing under encryption, or, more specifically, as secret-sharing the input data and computing on the shares.
