The main reasons I decided to go with nix is are: I was having issues reproducing my configs every time I install them, I usually don't remember which packages I had installed previously or which tool I was using for that, or where I placed that script. I wanted something that could help me have the same distro always as easily as possible. I was having issues with my BT driver, on some distros it worked on others didn't, even on pure arch, it was hard to get it working.
