How many chairs are there? : r/NoStupidQuestions

This isn't a troll post. I was just walking down the street the other day and saw this very nice chair outside of a house, and I thought to myself that they must have even better chairs inside, since you wouldn't put your best chair out in the elements. Then I got to wondering how many chairs they must have, then how many the average American has, then the average person anywhere, then how many chairs there are... total. (Not how many have ever existed throughout history but that might be cool too.) Must have legs and a back and be made for seating one person. Can anyone help me with an estimate? I have 9 chairs in my house. We are a 2-person household. I have 4 chairs in my office. I am alone in my office. Shit, there are a lot of chairs per capita... You might wanna ask r/theydidthemath to help you figure this out. r/theydidthemonstermath ^^^Contact Good bot I have about 16 chairs. 6 for the dinner table, two on my porch, 4 folding chairs for extra guests, two office chairs, and two
