Under our Dear Leader President Trump, the United States is hard at work destroying its place in the world economy. But in the rest of the world, globalization is still proceeding apace. In the 2000s and early 2010s, when you said “globalization”, it often just meant “moving manufacturing to China”, but that’s pretty much over; inbound foreign direct investment to China has fallen off a cliff, and companies are now trying to pull their money out.
