The internet collapsed the latency of information. AI is collapsing the latency of production and iteration. And now a new mismatch is showing up in the seams: capital still moves like it lives in an industrial world. This is the Velocity Gap. Execution velocity is accelerating while capital velocity isn’t yet. What follows is my thesis. It’s a read on early signals, and a bet on where they’re headed. Something I came to by watching how I work change first. As I’ve pushed AI into real workflows, the shift hasn’t just been “I can do more.” It’s been “I’m willing to try more.” Things that used to feel too expensive to attempt now
