I have been thinking about a maybe weird claim for the past months, and I finally organized it a bit. In the end, frontier model companies may not capture most of the GDP value created by AI. Most of that market may be divided downstream by cloud providers and their upstream suppliers, traditional companies that already own stable distribution channels, and companies that define the protocols through which models are used.
