Genetic analysis of social-class mobility in five longitudinal studies | PNAS

Hazzi et al. used high-resolution species distribution models and dated molecular phylogenies of birds to study species isolation and diversification in the tropical Andes. The authors identified 15 biogeographic regions delineated by topographical barriers, such as valleys and mountain peaks, and associated with 26 regional isolation and diversification events.
