Some fun tools to try out over the holidays

Seeing as it’s the end of the year and it’s likely that most of you are just kicking back right now, we thought we’d use this issue to just list out a few fun and random (and free!) tools on Hugging Face Spaces, Replicate, and Civitai. The great thing about these websites is you get to play around with cool fringey models that have weird and wacky outputs. These tools and models don’t get a lot of attention because they aren’t made by one of the big gen AI companies, and they aren’t necessarily ‘useful’ in an immediately obvious way — but they represent a fantastic growing ecosystem of curiosity and experimentation; it’s good to see both what kinds of things people are building, and what kinds of technologies are even out there right now.
