Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you anticipated a salary raise, but your compensation package remained unchanged after the performance review, leaving you disheartened with the company? Or perhaps you felt frustrated towards others because their action was not as you expected? These examples above are cases where our expectations were not met. From my understanding, expectation is your belief that something good will likely happen. Back to the time when I was first promoted to become the first-time manager, I put a very high expectation on my team members to execute and perform the tasks as I did and considered it an obvious thing.
