I love drawing in sketchbooks and take one with me everywhere I go. I’ve become quite addicted to drawing from life as it is now part of my day and I can’t imagine a day without it. In this post I’m going to talk about why I keep a sketchbook, my thoughts about drawing and how my sketchbooks have changed since I started an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. I started drawing in a sketchbook regularly in lockdown. I did the Good Ship Illustration course ‘Find Your Creative Voice’ and discovered a world of sketchbooking and the Instagram hashtag #walktosee . It really changed everything.
