It is my recommendation that all reports of abuse be investigated by an unaffiliated and reputable 3rd party investigator, and that the organization be assessed and evaluated by an unaffiliated and experienced 3rd party nonprofit consultant who can more thoroughly analyze the Monastic Academy’s board governance, program design/risks/outcomes, organizational policies, accountability structures (or lack of), fundraising practices and finances, and organizational culture. It is my recommendation that these results and recommendations be made public along with the steps the organization is taking to address and integrate feedback.
