S ome blogs ago, we looked at differential equations. And as we know by now, we use DEs to make assumptions about a rate of change. In a way, we try to predict the future. However, thanks to physics, this is only possible to a certain extent. After all, if it were possible, people would have already won in the lottery, and psychohistory would have been a real science. But why is that? Why can we predict only to a certain point, and then that’s it? It is like god (or whatever you want to call him/her/it) is telling us, ‘look, up until here and no further”. Of course, some genius minds have already asked this question and hence came up with a theory that tries to explain this phenomenon. It is called the chaos theory.
