I’ve been programming for about 10 years now, doing it professionally for 4. And even before, I always wanted to build robots and make video games or discover glitches in my games. The ability to write into existence anything you want always fascinated me. I live in the command line, sometimes wake up at 3AM because I NEED to write that program which will make me understand this or that concept. I love programming. But last year, I thought I didn’t anymore. I thought I needed to find something else, I thought I understood everything interesting there is to understand and that coding wouldn’t bring me anything but very specific industry knowledge of which I didn’t care about. I started to dislike programming. Every time I had edit a file I waited for the copilot request to finish and prayed the prediction was correct so I wouldn’t have to write it by myself.
