Unofficial student and alumni-run subreddit for the University of Waterloo community So I heard that networking and making connections is more important than grades when applying for a coop. Any tips of something for a guy with no knowledge on how to network. I literally don’t know mans. If you see someone you want to network with, say in an Italian accent "HEY TONY" or "HEY MARIA" and go in for the double kiss on the cheeks. If you do this enough, everyone will know about you (albeit, you will be barred from entering a lot of places)! You'll be famous in no time! Walk up to person Say "Hi I'm u/whatupguy225. Are you somebody useful?" If no, leave else say "What's your name" Add them on LinkedIn Never speak to them again until you want a job Easy! At the minimum, networking is having some personal connection with people even if small. Knowing someone enough that they will remember you such that if you ever call them up or email and say "hey it's kw2002" they know who you are enough tha
