This guide has been prepared by Transport Canada Aviation for the information and guidance of pilots preparing to apply for flight instructor ratings, and for use as a reference by qualified flight instructors. Some of the material in this guide has been derived from discussions with individual flight instructors and members of Flight Instructor Refresher Courses. The Instrument Flying and Night Flying Instruction exercises have been changed to include the draft revisions that have been in use since 1990 and 1994 respectively.
