This morning, I emptied out my storage unit in San Francisco, where all my stuff has been sitting for the past nine months, and handed everything over to movers to bring it all to NYC. Yes, it’s official: I’m moving to New York. I’m moving because, when I think about who I am five years from now, I feel most excited about the version of me that spends this next chapter of my life in NYC and I want to be her. I think she already exists, actually. This feels like a full circle moment of sorts because the last time I felt this level of conviction about what I’d consider A Big Life Decision was when I left my full time job exactly one year ago with the intent of clearing more space in my life to pursue art.
