The art direction for Perplexity aims to spark curiosity and awe. Users should feel a sense of aspirational wonder when interacting with Perplexity. Imagery We create generated imagery using custom sets of reference images and artwork. This allows us to be quick and flexible with the imagery. This imagery is a central part of the Perplexity brand, creating a sense of wonder and curiosity. We carefully curate and edit this generative imagery, so we ask that you do not create your own. Art Refrences Part of our curation process involves using custom images for style references. We use textures from Risograph printing, gouache paint, found textures, and natural landscapes. Our curated imagery is inspired by art from retro-futurists, landscape photography, collage, and vintage textbooks. Iconography For our flagship products and features, we have a custom icon set.
