Some personal news: after an awesome three year ride at Databricks, the time has come to mark my farewell. Before looking forward, I wanted to look back and share a few personal lessons learned from the company’s journey from 1,600 to 6,500+ employees. I’m grateful to have played a small part in the company’s breakout growth from ~$400M to $1.5B+ ARR, and it’s been a career highlight to build up several product teams — including serverless, security, growth, identity, admin, observability, money and data serving — from zero to one. It has been – and continues to be — a special time in a generational company’s growth. I’m looking forward to reading your comments and questions.
