I’ve heard that line quite often, from myself most of the time. And when I stopped to ask myself: Okay, so what is Creativity to you?—There’s no clear answer. But I believed it had to be something grand. Something that was fresh and original. Something that was so damn beautiful that only some selected blessed individuals were granted. Creativity had been put on the pedestal of success. Media kept discussing on and on about it. On the medal display shelf of any Life Champion, Creativity was always there. It was the life hack of the 21st century. Nail it and one would become undefeatable. I eventually started to complicate it, and glorify it. The way I phrase and think and feel about Creativity makes it seem so initimidating. But Elizabeth Gilbert taught me it doesn’t have to be so.
