I am here to tell you that, according to the eyes of the US government, you are probably more extraordinary than you think. Above are some quotes and pre-conceptions I collected from my immigrant friends when I asked them about the O-1. Before I got my own O-1, I thought all the above facts were true. When I had to leave the US because I didn’t get picked for the H-1B, I didn’t even think that the O-1 was a valid option for me. The law abiding citizen I am, I moved all my furniture into a storage unit, said goodbye to my friends, and hopped across the pond to started a new life in the UK.
