That is South Mumbai, which is correctly pronounced ‘South Bombay’. For cultural accuracy and aesthetic reasons this column will call it ‘South Bombay’. People who don’t know Mumbai think that South Bombay is a southern tip of Mumbai. That is not the way to consider this place. It is a separate city; and it always was. Mumbai and Bombay are not related either through that foolish term “twin cities
