It has become fashionable recently in silicon valley twitter circles to brand oneself with the “e/acc” meme ideology, short for “effective accelerationism.” The basic idea is to accelerate technological civilization and in particular AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) by any means necessary, and prevent any one party or government from controlling or regulating the overall process. That is, if we take the idea of AGI seriously, the aim is to accelerate the replacement and extinction of humanity by machines.
