I’m sorry for being gone for so long. To make up for lost time, I’ve written this essay to share some of my reflections from the past year. Please be aware that the writing is kind of emotional and a bit lengthy, but for those that choose to bear with it, thank you. It is not my best work yet. – Alex Everyone I know and love has been suffering for the longest time, and so have I. In fact, the thought has been creeping up on me for several years, maybe even the better part of a decade – a steady suspicion that I have been wholeheartedly grieving something my entire life.
