i remember when i was still in the US, looking for a job after my intern at OAI ended. when i learn things like data structure and algorithm, the only thing i care about is - the concept. i rather spend more time visualize the algorithm to really understand all of the process of such an algorithm. by learning this way, my brain can quickly generalize these concept into many other problems. which is completely opposite from what most cs students/junior devs do nowadays, they would rather spend 100+ hours on leetcode and hope that they will see something similar on their test. i remember my interview with amazon for a software engineer position 2 years ago, which i spent 0 minute preparing but still aced the coding part, with me freestyle the whole data structure by just drawing pictures of how a binary tree works in my head. i bet anyone who really learn and understand what they have learnt can easily achieve the same thing. this is exactly the way AI/LLM learns from data nowadays, pure
