The idea was to introduce fellow high schoolers to people in science communication and give them an opportunity to make projects explaining complex topics to the public. I did this because I realized I was interested in science-adjacent fields and “science and society”, and although I knew that professions like science journalists and policymakers existed, I didn’t know how to become one of them.
