I don't want to wait 12 weeks for the answer, so I'm asking for a qualitative one now. Edit: There seems to be a lively debate here! I haven't read any of the responses yet, but I finally have my notebook and I want to clarify one point: When my professor was stating that Thermo failed, he was referring to the predictions made for heat capacity of a crystal at very low temperatures (when experimentalists were able to produce very low temperature environments).
