i don’t think we talk enough about emotional clutter. the way we carry old versions of ourselves, old hopes, old conversations that never ended right. things we don’t need anymore, but can’t quite throw away. we tidy our homes, but not our hearts. maybe peace is just learning how to let go without needing closure first. yes, i think many (me included) are stuck in a constant loop of mourning the person that they once were, without acknowledging who they are now. because of this we end up in a state of permanent nostalgia the old version of myself and my present self have a toxic relationship. when i begin to make progress/try new things, my old self pays a visit to remind me why i started. i then get put back into that headspace to remind me why i began to show up for myself. i do not need to go back to understand and that is something i am still working on. Closure or no closure it’s the letting go that’s the hard part. We carry so much without realizing it. Versions of ourselves that
