I am very brave, and among the first wave of my friend group to cross into this next decade. I had all kinds of feelings in the lead up—from my self-imposed pressure to make the celebrations both memorable and meaningful, but more importantly fun! All I can say today is that I cannot really think about it all without tearing up. I feel so loved, so spoiled, and like I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday. Naturally I’m feeling a bit reflective, so I thought I’d share a 40-themed list today! I present to you, in no particular order, 40 things I would passionately recommend as I reach my 40th trip around the sun. I’m feeling grateful, alive and excited!
