It’s after the climax, after all the highs and lows, after all the battles have been fought, after the main characters are raised, loved, and retired. It’s the last page about the protagonist’s curious children and their mannerisms being the same but different. Epilogues are like the smell of asphalt after rain on a hot summer evening. It wraps everything up so neatly. Even though the story is over, I’m glad that it happened. I’m not sure when I started using the term Epilogue…
