Dear future undergraduate researcher
I’m writing this letter to you because I want to convey to you the lessons I took away from my own undergraduate research experiences in computer science. This is a long letter because I wanted to include examples and context to the lessons. I’ve written about 6 different problems and approaches (labelled A-F) I faced during my undergraduate experiences. These are: A thought: my motivations for writing this letter. One dream I have as a graduate student is to be a good graduate student mentor. I think an important part to being a good mentor for undergraduates is having the ability to understand undergraduate students.
