Yukon University has led Study Tour opportunities through the UArctic north2north mobility program. This trip is in collaboration with Aurora College, Nunavut Arctic College and the Labrador Campus of Memorial University. Depending on your institution, this field school is available for three credits (at YukonU credit will be given for NOST 229); this would involve pre-trip readings, seminars and some small written assignments. Students will visit several communities including, Sámi (Indigenous) communities and Sámi institutions. Throughout the course, students will also be exposed to Indigenous ways of knowing from a uniquely Sámi perspective. This exciting opportunity is funded by Global Affairs Canada through the UArctic north2north funding in Canada.
