I have probably forgotten some of the questions, and they're certainly not all in the right order, but here is more or less how the exam went. ---- We agreed to start the exam at 3:30 because I was attending a seminar at 2:30. This became relevant later because everyone was eager to go home by the time we got to the later parts of the exam. Peter, Yunqing, and I all arrived at Noga's office at the same time. After some discussion of who would sit where (for social distancing purposes), Noga said that, per my request, we would start with algebra. They asked me what books I had read to prepare. Peter made some comments about the choice of algebra textbooks at Yale. ---- ALGEBRA Yunqing had brought a list of prepared algebra questions, so eve
