Hello, What's the overlap between software architecture and system design? Are they both the same? If not, what's the difference? To be more specific, I'm referring about System Design that is often asked in Faang interviews System design defines the software architecture. System design is an action, you design, implement and deploy your software. Software architecture is the result of the design but also is the physical design. So, system design can include more things than the Software architecture. But I have seen used interchangeably in non-formal discussions as usually it refers to designing just the architecture.
