It’s widely known as being among the best classes at MIT. 18.404 vis-a-vis 1100 other classes. "Adjusted ratings" means that ratings are adjusted to give more weight to large classes with high ratings; this reflects the intuition that 30 ratings averaging 6.9 gives more signal than one rating averaging 7.0.
