Change Screenshot Save Location

On your Mac, screenshots save to the Desktop by default, but you can change it in a couple of easy ways: Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 5 A toolbar will appear at the bottom Click “Options” Under “Save to”, choose: Desktop Documents Clipboard Or click “Other Location…” to pick any folder 👉 Done — future screenshots will go there. If you want a custom folder permanently: Open Terminal Type this (replace path with your folder): Then apply it: Create a dedicated folder like “Screenshots” in Documents to keep things clean If you choose Clipboard, screenshots won’t save — you’ll paste them manually (⌘ + V) If you want, tell me your setup and I’ll suggest the cleanest folder structure (especially if you take a lot of screenshots).
